CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. – The search for a missing boater continues Monday at Lake Norman.
According to officials, ten family members and friends were on a boat Sunday when two men decided to jump in the water without life jackets.
One of the men struggled to remain on the surface, and despite multiple attempts to get him help, he disappeared.
Emergency crews are not releasing his name at this time, but say he is 27 and from the Triad.
A dump truck ran a stop sign and hit utility workers Thursday afternoon in Eden, the State Highway Patrol said.
