LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Tickets are now available to the 36th annual Taste of Derby Festival April 15 at 5:30 p.m., hosted by Dare to Care Food Bank.
Dare to Care said after record demand in 2024, the event will take place at Louisville Slugger Field, featuring more than 75 of Kentuckiana's finest food and beverage artisans. The food bank said it's planning for 1,200 guests.
The Taste of Derby Festival has kicked off Derby season for more than 20 years.
"We're excited to celebrate culinary excellence in our community while raising crucial funds in our fight against hunger," said Vincent James, Dare to Care president and CEO. "There's no better way to celebrate the kickoff of Derby season."
In addition to tastings from some of the area's best, attendees can also enjoy photo opportunities at several Instagram-worthy spots and the chance to win raffle prizes.
Dare to Care has been a leader in Kentuckiana's efforts to combat food insecurity for more than 50 years. The nonprofit said in the past year, it has distributed more than 20 million meals in eight Kentucky counties and five Indiana counties. Visit the organization's website for more information.
