A quick hitting system will bring a few sprinkles overnight Friday. Luckily, it will quickly clear on Saturday with sunshine returning.
Sunday will start out quiet with rain developing by afternoon. This system will have more moisture with widespread rain showers and possible a few rumbles of thunder possible.
Temperatures will hover around average all weekend in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

1. Lawmakers pass bill to reverse Kentucky’s conversion therapy ban
Both chambers of the Kentucky legislature have now passed House Bill 495. In its final form, the bill overturns Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear’s executive order banning the practice of conversion therapy on LGBTQ+ youth. It also bars Medicaid from covering gender transition treatments.
2. Bill to lower driver's permit age waits for governor's signature
House Bill 15 would allow for 15-year-olds to get a driver’s permit. It was passed by the Kentucky Senate and House and has been delivered to Gov. Andy Beshear, D-Ky.
3. VOCAL-KY joins national call to Congress against budget cuts
Over 70 national and state organizations, including VOCAL-KY, signed a letter to Congress to sound the alarm on federal budget cuts on the fourth anniversary of the act. The ARPA increased funding for Medicaid that expanded services and programs.
4. Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell: 'long-term trade war would be a mistake'
Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said there could be more pain ahead for Kentucky’s farmers and the $9 billion bourbon industry, as President Donald Trump escalates a trade war with America’s top trading partners.
