ORLANDO, Fla. — Immerse Orlando is taking over downtown this weekend, four years since its last appearance.
The arts festival features a long list of live performances, interactive art displays and fireworks to celebrate 10 years of bringing Central Florida creatives center stage.
Stages and road closures have already started to emerge in front of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, one of many areas in downtown where activities will take place.
Some of the closures you can expect include the intersection of Orange Avenue and Anderson Street, Orange and Central Boulevard, Church Street closures along Pine and Magnolia to name a few.

Cole Nesmith, the artistic director of Creative City Project, said that even if you came downtown each day, you wouldn’t be able to get through all the activities.
“One of the exciting things about Immerse is that everybody who comes will have a totally different, yet equally exciting, experience,” he said.
Events officially kick off at multiple locations at 5 p.m. on Friday. A full list of roadblocks, and parking availability, ride-share options and ticketing information can be found on Immerse’s website.
