REDDICK, Fla. — More than 20 horses died in a barn fire early Tuesday morning in Marion County.
The Marion County Fire Rescue received a call just before 4 a.m. reporting a barn on fire with horses trapped inside.
Fire crews responded to the 6000 block of Northwest 118th Street in Reddick to find a 10,000 square foot, single-story barn fully involved in flames.
Crews said the roof had collapsed on top of the structure, killing 21 horses inside.
