SAN MARCOS — (UPDATE May 1, 2019 1:54 p.m.) Texas State University police and local authorities responded to an incident on the San Marcos Campus Quad. Four students were arrested. No identified outside groups are involved.

The Texas State University Police Department tweeted early Wednesday morning that there will be an increase in police presence.

According to the university police, there have been reports on social media about outside groups planning a demonstration on the San Marcos campus on Wednesday.
On April 23, the Texas State Student Government informed students that Texas Nomads would march on campus on May 1 and told students not to engage with the group.
