EL PASO, Texas — Eastwood High School senior Jase Molden’s love for football started at an early age.
“It’s just been a big thing in my family,” he said.
After going to his older brother’s football games, Molden knew he wanted to get out on the field.
“As soon as I was old enough to play tackle football, I started it," he said.
And his sports roster doesn’t end with football; he plays basketball for Eastwood High as well as running track and field.
Molden said encouragement on the field is one of his favorite parts of the game.
“Our student section is really great,” he said. “Just playing at home, and all the fans cheering for you — it’s really the best part.”
Molden is a team player, stepping in and supporting others when it’s needed.
“I want to win, so whatever it takes to do that, I feel I have to bring that to the team” he said.
Molden is continuing his football career into college. He heads to Sul Ross State University next fall. Inspired by one of his coaches, he plans to major in kinesiology when school begins.
