AUSTIN, Texas — For Texas fans, you can’t put a price on their beloved Longhorns football program. But what if you could?

A report from the Wall Street Journal estimated the Longhorns would be worth close to $1.9 billion if the team could be purchased like an NFL franchise. 

According to the article, Texas is estimated to be the second most valuable program in college football behind recent national champion Ohio State, which boasted a $1.96 billion price tag. 

Only seven other college football teams made the billion-dollar club, one of them being Texas A&M. The Aggies just made the mark with a valuation of $1 billion.
