PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — The Tampa Premium Outlets is closed as Pasco County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating a robbery that took place at Helzberg Diamond Outlet on Sunday, according to officials.
- Deputies stress that no shots were fired
"The outlets will be closed for approximately 45 minutes to an hour while Forensic Investigators continue their investigation," stated the Sheriff's Office in a Facebook post.
There is not much suspect description given out except that the suspect is a male who was dressed all in black and standing at 5 foot, 9 inches tall.
The hoodie the male was wearing was tied around his face, making it hard for witnesses to give a detailed description, explained deputies.
The male got into a gray or silver two-door Cadillac with a Florida State University border around the license plate and the plate numbers were blacked out with painters tape, added deputies.
A viewer reached out to Bay News 9's Facebook Messager page, stating that a friend told her that shots were fired. Apparently, other people described the same thing, but the Sheriff's Office stated that there was no gunfire at all.
"To address the rumors there were no shots fired and no firearms seen on the suspect. There is no threat to the public at this time," the Sheriff's Office wrote.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone who has seen the vehicle should call: 1-727-847-8102 option 7.
