TAMPA, Fla. Riverview senior quarterback Kaylee Dominguez is putting together some historic numbers on the flag football field.. The Sharks senior quarterback broke the school record for passing yardage going over the 8-thousand yard mark earlier this season.

Kaylee had no idea she was close " I wasn’t expecting it at all either because eight thousand is a lot and I know I can get more"

The Sharks senior has played basketball since she was 5 but football was also a big part of her family time.

"When I was little my dad he used to like throw with me, The Sharks QB explained, he always told me that I could throw but I wasn’t really looking for it until coach Coffey came up to me during warmups and asked me if I wanted to play quarterback".

Riverview coach David Coffey saw Kaylee throwing the football her freshman year and was convinced she had the arm to play quarterback.

Injuries on the Varsity team forced Kaylee to be called up her freshman year and she has not looked back since.

In just two full seasons as the Sharks starter Kaylee has thrown 100 touchdowns in that time and looking to add to that number in her senior season. Her goal is to eclipse more then eleven-thousand career yards before her season is over.

The next decision for Kaylee will be college where she plans to purse a career in sports management and look for a school where she can continue to sling the rock.
