WORCESTER, Mass. - A sure sign spring is on its way, Green Hill Golf Course in Worcester opened for the season Wednesday. 

Director of Golf Matt Moison said golfers are excited after a long, hard winter and opening day is always the best time of year. 

He said weather is the biggest factor when deciding when to open the course. 

"Whether that's the ground conditions, snow and ice on the ground, whether that's rain or cold. It's mild enough. The snow is gone. It's time to go."

Green Hill is only allowing golfers to walk at this time. Carts aren't available yet.
