City kids no longer have to jump through 'hoops' to understand tough science topics.

A new exhibit called DUNK! in Manhattan uses basketball to help young people learn scientific concepts — like hang time, jump height and wing span.

"The idea is to find a common theme that will attract young people to come here and use the theme to engage them in science," said Stan Altman with Science Arts Engagement New York. "We had Nate Archibald here at the opening and he gave a lecture about a basketball court really being a lecture about geometry, and that it's all about the mathematics of basketball that makes good players."

You can check out DUNK! on West 126th Street in Harlem.

The exhibit runs through April 14.
