Most of the races for borough president were effectively decided in the primary, but there is one borough where a competitive general election is expected.

That borough is Staten Island, where after several rounds of ranked-choice voting tabulations, Democrat Mark Murphy came out on top, with 65% of the vote.

He'll now have to face Republican nominee and former Rep. Vito Fossella in November.

Murphy joined anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” to talk about his campaign strategy and his vision for Staten Island if he were to become the borough president.
