The Center for Italian Modern Art, known as CIMA, was founded here in New York in 2013 by art historian Laura Mattioli. Her start in the art world began with her father's collection, something he created as a response to the violence of World War II.

Mattioli joined "News All Day" on Women Wednesday with more on their new exhibition and the contributions of the center to Italian culture here in the city.

The center, which is on Broome Street in SoHo, features art exhibitions in an intimate environment. Mattioli is passionate about bringing an appreciation of Italian modern art to the city.

The center also offers fellowships to artists.

Their new exhibition focuses on the interaction between art and advertising, which Mattioli feels introduces art to the masses.
