Fire officials say they got the call for a fire just before 3:45 p.m. The fire was out by 4 p.m.

The fire was in a display case at the stadium, the FDNY said.

In a statement, the Mets said the fire broke out in the Jackie Robinson Rotunda and was extinguished before the FDNY arrived.

The Mets say the fire caused minimal damage. No one was hurt.

The team was in Atlanta to play the Braves on Wednesday night. They are slated to return to Citi Field on Thursday for a four-game series against the Cubs.

The Mets have lost four games in the past week in which they led after six innings. Naturally, Twitter was filled with jokes about the blaze:

(We disagree with the last one - the Mets did start the season 11-1. They are, however, 15-25 since that start.)
