NEW YORK - Time is ticking to make sure you can vote in next month's midterm elections.

The deadline to register is tonight at 9 p.m.

On Thursday, volunteers with the New York Public Interest Research Group held registration drives across the city, including one at the Borough of Manhattan Community College.

Student leaders say their goal is to register two thousand voters.

"There is definitely a higher level of enthusiasm I would say.. comparing it to four years ago when we had the governor's election," said one student.

Paper voter registration forms must be postmarked by tonight's deadline.

It can also be accepted in person until 9 p.m. at each of the Board of Elections borough offices.
