NEW YORK - Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg will be holding a fundraiser in the city Wednesday.

It's one of three scheduled in New York ahead of the next Democratic debate on December 19.

This isn't the first time Buttigieg has visited New York City in an attempt to coral support among African-American voters. The South Bend Mayor made a visit to Harlem in July to meet behind closed doors with community leaders who wanted to know more about his record and his positions on issues affecting urban America and the African-American community in particular.

On the "You Decide" podcast, Errol Louis took listners inside that meeting to bring them Buttigieg’s remarks on his record as mayor, struggles involving race and policing, and the generational change that is part of his 2020 campaign.

Buttigieg recently slipped in the polls right below Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders and of course frontrunner Joe Biden.

He has the support of nine percent of Democratic voters.
