Governor Cuomo is looking to tackle robocalls in his 2020 agenda.

The governor's office announced a proposal yesterday that would require telecommunications companies to give customers robocall-blocking technology.

And as robocallers develop new ways to get around the technology, the governor's bill would require companies to continue to adapt news ways to block them.

Those that don't comply with the state's "Do Not Call List" would also face harsher fines than in years past, doubling from an $11,000 penalty to a $22,000 penalty.

It's estimated more than 10 million robocalls are delivered to New Yorkers every day.
