The COVID-19 seven-day average positivity rate for the city stands at 8.06%, according to Mayor Bill de Blasio.

There were 2,400 new cases yesterday and nearly 200 hospitalizations, according to the city.

Across New York State, there were just over 10,000 positive tests reported yesterday, the governor said. That's a positivity rate of exactly 4%.

Governor Andrew Cuomo also announced that over 2.1 million vaccine doses have been administered across the state. He says, as of 11 a.m. Sunday, 87% of first doses allocated to the state's health care distribution sites from the federal government have been administered.
