NEW YORK — After another winter storm, New Yorkers are now dealing with the big freeze and a dwindling supply of coronavirus vaccines heading into the weekend.

Icy roads and sidewalks are creating dangerous conditions.

It comes after the latest blast of winter Thursday left around three to four inches of snow on the ground. That puts February 2021 in ninth place for snowiest Februaries on record.

Temperatures will be in the 20s throughout the night, meaning homeowners and landlords will have to salt their sidewalks yet again and drivers will have to scrape away that new layer of ice on their windshields.

Meanwhile, winter weather across the country is leading to delays in shipping the COVID-19 vaccines to where they need to go.

The city expected a new shipment earlier this week.

In a statement Friday, Governor Andrew Cuomo's office said delayed shipments of the Pfizer vaccine would arrive by Monday, and orders that were placed within the last 48 hours are expected to arrive by Tuesday and Wednesday. The governor's office says delayed shipments of the Moderna vaccine should arrive "by the middle of next week," and orders placed in the last 48 hours are expected to arrive next Thursday and Friday.

Empire Outlets on Staten Island opened Friday as a mass vaccination site. Its scheduled opening was pushed back because of supply shortages and winter storms that caused shipping delays nationwide.

The hub was slated to open at 8 a.m., but was delayed until noon due to the inclement weather.

Mayor Bill de Blasio toured the site Friday to see the operation in action.

"As we get more and more supply, I want to see this be a full 24/7 site, thousands and thousands of people getting vaccinated here all the time," de Blasio said.

The vaccination site at Martin Van Buren High School in Queens won't open until Sunday.

The city has a new website to schedule vaccine appointments at non-governmental locations.

That includes sites run by Northwell Health, Capsule Pharmacies and the Hospital for Special Surgery.

The website is available in several languages.

Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story said the Empire Outlets vaccination site would open at 10 a.m. The city now says it will open at noon.
