NEW YORK — A federal judge who heard cases on Staten Island has been killed in a hit-and-run in Florida.

Sandra Feuerstein was on a sidewalk in Boca Raton on Friday when a car jumped the curb and ran her over.

Police say the driver, Nastasia Snape, also hit a 6-year-old boy who was seriously hurt.

Snape was found unconscious after she crashed at another location.

Once she was in the ambulance, police say Snape began to fight with medics, saying she was "Harry Potter".

Investigators found synthetic designer drugs in her purse.

She's facing multiple charges.

Judge Feuerstein was appointed to the bench by President George W. Bush in 2003.

She was 75 years old.
