NEW YORK — A prominent Orthodox Jewish community activist on Friday pleaded guilty to a charge of inciting a riot after an attack on a journalist in Brooklyn last fall, according to the district attorney’s office.

Heshy Tischler made headlines last October after video emerged from a protest against COVID-19 restrictions in Borough Park. He could be seen pushing journalist Jacob Kornbluh, who was covering the demonstration. The two had a public feud.

Tischler will serve 10 days of community service for inciting a riot, according to the DA's office.

The court also issued an order of protection on Kornbluh's behalf, the DA’s office said.
