NEW YORK — The former head of the union representing police sergeants will face a trial Monday for violating the NYPD's rules of conduct.
The Civilian Complaint Review Board says the trial proceedings were sped up after Ed Mullins filed for retirement.
It came just days after the FBI raided his home and office as part of a corruption investigation.
No charges have been filed.
The trial will focus on profane language Mullins used on Twitter while referring to public servants.
