Rebecca Greenberg is a multimedia journalist at Spectrum News NY1. She attended the University of Connecticut, where she earned a dual degree in Journalism and Political Science. Prior to getting her start at NY1, Rebecca interned at CNN at their Atlanta headquarters and worked as a producer and reporter at WWLP-22 News in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Rebecca began at NY1 in 2017 as a producer for News All Evening with Lewis Dodley and then for Live at Ten with Cheryl Wills. In 2021, she transitioned from behind the screen to in front of the camera, becoming the Brooklyn Borough Reporter. Rebecca covers a wide array of issues that impact and are important to Brooklyn residents, from the southernmost point of Bedford Avenue in Sheepshead to the northernmost point in Greenpoint. Her own family has lived in the borough for more than a century, establishing a home base in Sheepshead Bay.

Rebecca has come full circle since her producing days, now working as the general assignment reporter for Live at Ten, covering breaking news at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. She has been instrumental in NY1's coverage of several major events, including the deadly Twin Parks fire in the Bronx, the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and several Black Lives Matter protests. It is Rebecca's mission to amplify the voices of New Yorkers that may otherwise go unheard.

Rebecca is also a professionally trained actress and singer. She attended Professional Children's School on Manhattan's Upper West Side and performed in more than two dozen musicals and plays. When she’s not working, she continues to sing and play guitar.
