Mayor Bill de Blasio will head out of town again Friday, first to Boston and then to Las Vegas, as he flirts with a presidential run.

The mayor will attend a private fundraiser in Boston on Friday morning for his political action committee, Fairness PAC. That committee is paying for him to fly around the country.

From there, the mayor will fly to Las Vegas, where he is expected to meet with local democratic leaders, including the Clark County Democratic Central Committee.

Unlike previous trips, First Lady Chirlane McCray will not tag along.

Nevada is home to the third-in-the-nation presidential nominating contest in 2020 and is a frequent stop for declared presidential candidates.

This trip for de Blasio follows visits to Iowa, South Carolina and New Hampshire. The mayor says he will not rule out running for president, but there is no timeline for him to make a final decision. It's unclear if he has any further travel plans in store.

BLOOMBERG NOT DONE YET?

Another mayor's presidential aspirations were also in the news Tuesday. After he traveled the country himself — with trips to Iowa and New Hampshire, among others — former Mayor Michael Bloomberg declared last month he would not run, writing that he believed he would defeat Donald Trump, but, "I am clear-eyed about the difficulty of winning the Democratic nomination in such a crowded field."

Former Vice President Joe Biden was thought to pose the greatest obstacle to Bloomberg, with the two appealing to many of the same moderate Democrats.

But Biden is suddenly under fire for allegations of unwanted touching. If he's badly damaged or stays out of the race, would Bloomberg jump in? A story in Axios on Tuesday said he might. A Bloomberg spokesman declined comment.

One prominent Democrat said Tuesday that Biden's behavior is not disqualifying, but:

"He has to understand in the world that we're in now that people's space is important to them and what's important is how they receive it, not necessarily how you intended it," U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in an interview with Politico.
