Homeowners with few resources or abilities can request volunteera to assist with cleaning homes and debris removal. That might include removal of fallen trees, tree limbs, cleanup of interior home damage and other storm-related damage.
It is noted that home cleanup will be prioritized over debris removal.
“Hundreds of residents across the region have suffered tremendous damage during this past week of snow and ice,” said ADRN Executive Director Daniel Geraci. “Homes flooded as frozen pipes burst, and a several houses were damaged or lost in fires caused by space heaters. These are devastating circumstances and we can come together as a community to help these people recover and rebuild so they can return to safe and clean homes.”
The Crisis Clean Up hotline began operating at 3 p.m. Saturday and will again be available on Sunday from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. The service will conclude on Tuesday, March 2.
