AUSTIN, Texas — If you’re traveling out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Friday, you are urged to leave yourself plenty of extra time.

The airport after 6 a.m. Friday reported that TSA checkpoint wait times are at about two hours.

It is recommended people leaving during peak travel hours leave themselves three hours before their flight and those traveling during non-peak hours give themselves 2.5 hours.

Peak hours are 5 a.m.-8 a.m., 11 a.m.-1 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m.

A reason for delays at security checkpoints wasn’t immediately provided.
