As many in the community continue to face mental health issues, Niagara University is doing what it can to help people who are struggling.

The university has secured a grant worth $375,000 from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation.

This will go towards growing the school’s health care services, with a special focus on telehealth services.

NU plans to develop three telehealth training labs on campus for community service providers.

The school says there’s also the potential to establish a mobile training lab, and for students to receive some of the training.

Training is expected to be added to the course curriculum for several programs including nursing, social work, and psychology.
