After the CDC released new masking guidelines for fully vaccinated people, many are left wanting to know if they can start removing their masks at certain businesses if they're fully vaccinated.

Spectrum News reached out to Wegmans about the new CDC guidance, which still calls for wearing masks in crowded indoor settings like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters, but eases restrictions for reopening workplaces and schools. The guidance is not intended for health care settings.

The Rochester-based grocery chain tells Spectrum News that it reviewing the new guidance and having internal conversations.

We're told the company is awaiting further direction at state and local levels.

An individual is considered fully vaccinated against the virus two weeks after receiving the second dose of either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or two weeks after the single-dose shot from Johnson & Johnson.
