A local non-profit is receiving a big donation.

Camp Good Days and Special Times is receiving a check for more than $12,000. Electronic recycling company Sunnking raised the money through a donation drive that they call "E-Scrap for Camp."

The company teamed up with other businesses in Buffalo and Rochester to collect 423,000 pounds of recyclable devices.

The money will allow Camp Good Days and Special Times to continue their mission of helping children and families effected by cancer.

"Especially in a time like this where we have seen such a lull of funds this makes a huge impact here,” Lisa Booz, Regional Director for Camp Good Days and Special Times, said. “We say that it costs about $1,000 per year per kid. We have about a thousand kids that come to Camp Good Days. So you can see how something like that adds up for our organization. Everything we do here is absolutely free for our participants."

To date, Sunnking’s "E-Scrap for Camp Drive" has generated more than $140,000.
