Re-election rallies for President Trump are popping up around Western New York this weekend.

The Erie County Conservative Party held sign giveaways in three locations Saturday in the Northtowns, Southtowns, and on Slade Avenue in West Seneca.

The party says Western New York members did not receive Trump signs originally, so conservatives took the initiative to buy them for supporters in the area.

Members of the party say local support is critical in this year's election.

"Every vote counts. And for those who don't know, Western New York is Trump country. In 2016 he carried Western New York by a significant amount. If he has any chance to take new york he has to do well here. So we take this election very seriously," said Erie County Conservative Party event coordinator Russ Gugino.

If you missed out on getting a sign today, the group is holding the events again next weekend in Cheektowaga, West Seneca, and Orchard Park.
