New details have been released about a head-on crash on the North Grand Island Bridge that backed up traffic during rush hour Wednesday night.

Andrew Chapman, 37, is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.

Investigators say Chapman drove the wrong way onto the northbound bridge between Grand Island and Niagara Falls and hit a car head-on.

Troopers say Chapman had a BAC more than twice the legal limit when he was arrested.

Both drivers declined medical treatment.

Chapman is expected to be in court next month.
