WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — Several protesters were arrested after demonstrating against President Trump on private property.

The Erie County Republican Committee held a fundraiser for the president in Williamsville Thursday night.

Showing Up For Racial Justice protested outside on public property but then several moved onto private property.

After ignoring several warnings from Amherst Police, authorities arrested seven people.

Protesters say they don't want the committee to help President Trump because they believe he supports white supremacists.

"We are outraged that Trump is courting white supremacists and we are concerned about the safety of our communities from white supremacist recruitment and violence. And we want to send the message that there's no place for white supremacy in our communities," said activist Rebecca Chen.

Members of the Erie County Republican Committee came outside during the protest.

They said they did not want to comment, but they respect the people's right to protest.
