Northwestern CB Greg Newsome II simply laid out why he is the best at his position in this NFL Draft.

"I can do it all," Newsome II said at his Pro Day. "I can play man. I can play zone. I can do it all, literally. Even in our scheme, we're more of a let guys catch it in front of us and rally and tackle. I gave up the deep ball, but you can see the way I played this season I was not okay with letting guys catch the football and I just think an NFL team, when they see my versatility and see that I can do it all, I don't see why I won't be the first corner off the board."

Newsome II measures up to what teams would want in a top tier CB. He is 6' and 192 pounds while posting a 4.38 second 40 time at his Pro Day.

His resume includes earning 1st team All-Big Ten and 3rd team All-American honors this past season with an interception and 10 passes defended in just six games.

While adding strength is one area NFL teams have told Newsome II to improve on, they also likely are a little worried with his injury history.

Newsome II missed time in each of his three seasons at Northwestern, only playing in 21 total games with 18 starts.

Rather than try and put together a full senior season, Newsome II sticking with a plan he had all along.

"Coming here, that was a goal of mine to go three and done and be the first three and done player in coach Fitz's [Pat Fitzgerald] tenure," Newsome II said. "That was definitely a goal of mine and I knew if I put my head down this offseason and work and I knew it was going to be a possibility after this season."

Newsome II is projected as a mid-to-late 1st round pick.
