Albany County's health department is again recommending masks in indoor public places as the COVID-19 positivity rate rises.

A public health advisory issued Monday afternoon said that the rate is rising "in large part due to new variants," and that masks are recommended regardless of vaccination status, including in private businesses.

Residents are also encouraged to get vaccinated and boosted if they haven't already, and to test for COVID-19 if not feeling well or if potentially exposed to the virus.

The county is asking people who test positive using at-home kits to submit those results on their website through this online link.
