St. Peter's Health Partners will start limiting visitation at its hospitals to one person a day starting Monday due to rising COVID-19 cases, it announced Friday evening.

The announcement was made after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) classified transmission rates in Albany and Rensselaer counties as “high.” Compassionate exemptions and special visitation guidance will remain in place for certain areas and circumstances.

St. Peter's Health Partners will also resume COVID testing on patients scheduled to undergo procedures beginning April 28.

Older adults and those with underlying medical conditions are strongly discouraged from visiting the hospitals. Visitors are expected to wear a face mask at all times, show identification and have their temperature checked upon arrival.
