COVID-19 numbers across New York state on Sunday remained similar to the numbers reported on Saturday as officials continue to urge all New Yorkers to get vaccinated.

There were just under 4,500 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.

The seven-day average positivity rate has dipped a little, now at 3.06 percent.

Currently, just over 1,650 people are in the hospital, which is down four from Saturday. However, eight new patients have been admitted to the ICU.

Sadly, 18 more New Yorkers have died from the coronavirus.

On the vaccination front, nearly 42,000 doses were administered in the last 24 hours. According to the CDC, 65.1% of all New Yorkers have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine while 58.3% of all New Yorkers have been fully vaccinated.
