ITHACA, N.Y. — A Cornell University fraternity has been put on a 2-year probation after holding a sex contest.

The Zeta Beta Tau chapter is being disciplined for a game where new members accumulated points for sleeping with women.

If there was a tie, the member who had sex with the heaviest woman would win.

Officials began investigating last year after receiving multiple reports.

The terms of the probation include hiring a live-in advisor, submitting to external reviews and taking part in education on sexual violence.

The fraternity's Kappa chapter said they were disgusted and appalled by the allegations.

They posted on Facebook saying in part, "We, too, are in disbelief and even more so that these alleged actions may have been taken by those whom we called brothers. As a result, we are looking inward to ensure this type of behavior never occurs by anyone connected with ZBT, or the campus community as a whole, on our watch."
