Pace CNY is using mobile medical units to bring services to seniors, right in their own homes.

A medical provider, clinic nurse, and therapist are usually on the bus to help with anything from falls to lab work.

"When you send a team out, not only are they examining the patient, but the patient's environment. Is the home safe? Do they have food? Do they have the medical equipment they need? Is there something else PACE needs to survive? And as a result, we come back with better information," said PACE CNY medical director David Heisig.

These mobile units were created because of COVID-19, but the goal is to keep using them after the pandemic is over.
