Proposals were discussed during a Syracuse Teachers Association meeting Tuesday night. The first calls for furloughs that last through July 30. The number of people affected was not discussed. A second proposal calls for voluntary furloughs, based on family needs. And a third proposal calls for 4 unpaid holidays.

A poll of the membership will be taken to see if there is interesst in negotiating. Those numbers are expected to be released next week.
