Groups including the Strong Economy for All Coalition, the New York Nurses Association, the Fiscal Policy Institute, and others are urging the legislature to tax the ultra-wealthy in New York state, rather than continue cutting services, schools, and health care. 

According to one estimate, the state’s billionaires have earned $77 billion more since the beginning of the pandemic, exacerbating the already greatest economic inequality in the nation.
