Former Rep. Lee Zeldin's political action committee on Monday announced its first batch of early endorsements for the 2024 election cycle as the 2022 Republican nominee for governor dips back into the political realm.

The PAC, known a Leadership America Needs, endorsed freshman New York Republican Reps. Nick Lalota, Anthony D'Esposito, Mike Lawler, Marc Molinaro and Brandon Williams.

The U.S. House flipped to a narrow Republican majority last year based on the success of down-ballot candidates in New York in key swing districts in the Hudson Valley and on Long Island.

“Due to tireless campaigning across New York last year, the state's GOP House delegation hasn't been this Republican in decades. Key down ballot wins in historically Democrat districts resulted in New York voters doing their part to change control of the U.S. House of Representatives," Zeldin said. "I am proud to again support these five freshmen House members who helped bring a Republican majority to Washington and fired Nancy Pelosi as Speaker. These Majority Makers already have a massive target on their backs and I am committed to doing everything in my power to assist these leaders with their re-election efforts."

Zeldin formed the PAC earlier this year as he also does not rule out another run for statewide office this year. Zeldin has been mentioned by Republicans as a potential candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2024 or governor again in 2026.
