SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- By Tuesday, NFL rosters need to be cut down from 90 to 80, but the Bengals started early, kicking a Syracuse fan favorite to the curb Sunday morning.

Eric Dungey, who made his debut with Cincinnati under center on Friday night, was one of five players released by the team so far.

Against the Washington Football Team, SU's all-time passing yards leader was 3 of 6 passing for 14 yards, while rushing for 12 yards.

The 25-year-old has now spent time with three different NFL rosters after going undrafted in 2019. During his time on the Hill, he set or tied 25 school records.
