Buffalo Bills athletic trainers will be honored in Albany on Wednesday for helping save Damar Hamlin's life.

They're part of a group of life-savers from across the state being recognized during National Athletic Training Month.

Bills athletic trainers sprang into action when Hamlin went into cardiac arrest after he took a hit during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals in January. The traininers and team medical personnel administered CPR and used an automated external defibrillator to restore Hamlin's heartbeat on the field before he was taken to the hospital.

Their heroic actions put the importance of their profession in the national spotlight.

Thanks to their efforts, Hamlin is recovering and may even play football again.
