SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: Matilda Joslyn Gage, who grew up in Fayetteville, joined the women's suffragist movement early on after she was inspired by her father to "think for yourself." But she doesn't get the due she is owed. Gage partnered with the likes of Susan B. Anthony to fight for women's rights in the 19th century, but had a falling out with the movement. A museum dedicated to her in Fayetteville, the place of her childhood home, helps to educated people to her contribution to the movement and the important role she played.
