CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The six students that were shot at UNC Charlotte on Tuesday have been identified.

CMPD confirmed the names on Wednesday. The two students killed are 19-year-old Ellis Parlier of Midland and 21-year-old Riley Howell of Waynesville. The four shot are 19-year-old Drew Pescaro and 20-year-old Sean DeHart of Apex, 20-year-old Rami Alramadhan from Saudi Arabia and 23-year-old Emily Houpt from Charlotte.
Immediately after the shooting, three of the four injured were said to be in critical condition. As of Thursday morning, Dehart and Pescaro had been discharged from the hospital.
An update from UNCC May 20 said Rami Alramadham recently had surgery and is doing well.
Trystan Andrew Terrell, 22, has been arrested and his charges include murder and attempted murder.
A friend of Howell's on Twitter said that he was killed trying to stop the suspected shooter, Terrell.
In a news conference Wednesday afternoon, CMPD Chief Kerr Putney called Howell a real hero. "He didn't run, he didn't hide, he fought," he said.
A vigil was held Wednesday night at UNCC's Halton Arena to honor the victims.
