NORTH CAROLINA – Charter Communications has been recognized by Senator Thom Tillis.

While touring the regional operations center on Friday, Senator Tillis observed 400 new apprentices.

These apprentices are hoping to help build the future of North Carolina’s connectivity.

Over 100 veterans looking to get reacclimated to civilian life were included in the class.

Tillis said, "I wish every single company, large company, small, midsized company would recognize the benefit of hiring veterans. They are great people, they are disciplined, they served their nation and this sort of programs I want to go up and down the street and see this sort of program. I really just appreciate Spectrum being on the leading edge."

Throughout the state, Charter Communications employs more than 10,000 people.

Charter is the parent company of Spectrum News.
