GREENSBORO, N.C. — A North Carolina nonprofit is raising money to provide music lessons to underprivileged children.

Gant School of Music and Jazz is collecting donations to get students lessons and instruments they wouldn't normally be able to afford. The owner, Titus Gant, says the school is reaching out to the community to help.

“It's just one of those things where the barrier of finance is the thing that stops people and children from progressing in the arts," Gant explains.

Gant School of Music and Jazz has raised over $1,000 for its sponsorship program. It hopes to find a partner to match the money raised.
