CHARLOTTE, N.C. — There’s a new sound in Uptown, inside one of the swankiest spots in the Queen City, and it will have you tapping your shoe while you clean your plate.

“You can’t hear this music anywhere else. And you can’t find a venue that looks and feels like this anywhere else in the city,” Middle C Jazz managing director Teddy Johnson says.

Middle C Jazz is a music venue first. Folks have to buy a ticket to see its weekly showcase of musicians, but if the music stops playing, the food will have you singing.

Small plates and finger foods are paired with high end cocktails named after famous jazz clubs. Middle C Jazz shares an executive chef with its neighbor, The Public House, which fields a limited menu for jazz fans.

Let your taste in music lead you to some great tasting food.
