RALEIGH, N.C. — A North Carolina nonprofit organization is helping women in need.

The No Woman, No Girl Initiative provides long-term support to women and girls who have hit rock bottom with a 90-day supply of everyday essentials.

The founder Shirnetta Harrell says people can make donations using a QR code at the organizations' temporary dropbox location at Vision Church RDU. The goal is to expand its services in the future.

“We want to have a building or a storefront where women or girls can just come off the street," Harrell says. "We will welcome them eagerly with open arms and provide them with a one-year supply of everyday essentials.”

On Saturday, The No Woman, No Girl Initiative is kicking off a 60-day donation campaign called Operation 360.
